Thank you and Self Care
Earlier this week in my Facebook group, The Healing Group, I posted a video that thanked my followers for supporting me as an author and to talk about the importance of self-care. As I mentioned in my video it is so important to take care of ourselves and to be kind to yourself. We often do not take the time out to care for ourselves and we do not have enough ourselves after we give to everyone else. Take time for yourself and begin to smell the roses! Here is the video and let me know what you think.
New Book Release
Today I released my 2nd ebook, Conservations with God: The Devotional! It has been a labor of love to write and release this book. This was a continuation of my first book, 12 Lesson of Healing Thru Grief. I still have so much more to say and I could not get it all in one book. This is a book of losses of different things that we all suffer and or go through in our lifetimes. What losses have you suffered and how did you overcome them? What did you do to help you get through? These are some of
Your story…….
You never know how your story may affect someone and what the reactions will be. Yesterday I co-facilitated a workshop entitled Yoga and Mental Health: Trauma and Grief Issues. This workshop was from the view what trauma looks like and how it manifests in our bodies. What we can do from a yogic/mental health perspective in order to help yoga students and anyone else cope with the ongoing plague of trauma. Grief triggers many feelings and emotions and how we deal with them is most important. Each and everyone in the workshop had a different perception of what trauma and grief looked like that’s
I’m having the hardest time with….
Today as I sit and ponder, the one year anniversary of you getting your heavenly wings has come and gone. I am still in disbelief that this is now my reality and that you are no longer here. I was counting the days to this day and it has come and gone. I still miss the little things; the phone calls, the text messages and the check ins. These things were so worthwhile to me. They helped me during my day and I looked forward to them. I received so much love on the Anniversary of your heavenly wings! The
What’s missing when it comes to grief and loss?

I was sharing what my vision when it came to nurturing what I already know. I said the population that I thought suffered the most and she stated something so profound that I almost missed it. Women and children are who we think of when we consider the population of people who experiencing grief and loss, but we do not think much about the male population and how they suffer. To Journal or Not to Journal
Journaling has been one of the best pieces of advice given to me along my journey. To this my book was birthed! At times I would stare at a blank page of my journal and just cry. After I cried I would feel better and begin to write. Sometimes I would still need a bit more coaching and play with my words. I would start writing words on paper and then an idea would form! I am sharing an exercise on my blog that I hope will help someone on today. Join me in filling in the blanks. I remember
Gratitude
As I sit and reflect on this Thanksgiving I am reminded of what I am thankful and grateful for: I am thankful for the journey I am now on. With out this journey, I would not be in the head space I am in today. I am a constant lifelong learner and I am finishing strong this year. I am grateful for life’s experiences. I know this sounds crazy , but I have learned in this journey we call life, that good and bad help to shape who we are and how we get through it. I have had a
