Coping during the Holidays
The holiday season will soon be here and as I take stock of what this will look like I am reminded of a blog post that I recently shared with my Facebook group, The Healing Group. The post is from the The Every Girl and you can find it here at this link: http://theeverygirl.com/getting-through-the-holidays-when-youve-lost-someone/. It has some wonderful suggestions as to how to deal with grief during the holidays. The one that stuck out the most for me was give yourself permission to be sad. This spoke volumes to me. The holidays are a time for celebration however when you lose someone near

12 Lessons of Healing Through Grief Book Release
This week my first book will be released on Amazon.com. This book has been a labor of love and one of surprise, amazement and strength. This took a lot out of me, but I wanted to share the lessons I have learned along the way. Did I cry during this process, did I stop writing, did I want to give up? I can answer yes to all three questions. It is my hope that someone will take a nugget of my experiences and share it with someone they know so that the healing process can occur. In Healing, Cherie
What story will you tell
Losing someone you love can be very traumatic. How do you cope with the loss, what resources are available for me to heal? Does anyone else feel the way that I do? These are questions that are often asked of people who are grieving and mourning the loss of a loved one. Learning to begin the healing process is of utmost importance, how will you start?
Holidays
It is the holiday weekend and my thoughts often wonder to holidays that I’ve had in the past. It makes you think about the good and bad. As each holiday approaches, your mind retreats to how this one will be. I’ve learned that being around people who love and care for you are what matters the most. Let love come in and be the thing that you need in order to move on…at least for that very
Progress
I saw a sign recently stating you are under no obligation to be who you were a year ago, one month ago or even 15 mins ago. You have the right to grow. No apologies. How powerful is this as I continue to look toward healing and health; this is most certainly true! I am not the same person I was in January or in June. I am a work still in progress…..
Marks’ Birthday Party
Today is the birthday celebration for Mark. It will be to remember the good and to have fond wonderful memories about another milestone; A birthday! This will allow one to process and to reflect. As I continue to be open to the process of healing, I recognize that this journey is like no other I will experience. Each day will bring its own new challenges and healing. To healing~
Today is a good and bad day
Today would have been Marks’ 43rd Birthday, sadly he did not get a chance to experience it. Birthdays are a time of reflection and celebration. Today I choose to do both; celebrate another milestone and reflect on life.
The making of Angela and Petey The Fish
This story has come out of a labor of love due to the loss of the love of my life, Mark. We were planning our lives together and suddenly, my life changed over 5 months ago forever. It is hard to see someone and spend time with them the day before, talk to them the night before and find them that they are not here, the very next day. This story was divinely inspired! I want to begin to heal myself, but most importantly my daughter. I hope this book can inspire, heal, teach and guide people along the path
