Don’t Quit
Sometimes in life we are dealt with a hand that we want to throw back in. For example, I was watching an episode of Iyanla Vanzant: Fix My Life, over the weekend which focused on the “Bad Seed”. The 24 year old was brought to the show by her family because they claimed she was the “Bad Seed”. She was born to a drug addicted mother in prison and by society standards did not have a chance to make it. She was raised by a father, grandmother and aunt who on the outside appeared to be a loving family who really tried their best. As the show began to progress more and more layers began to expose the family and the true colors were revealed. In the end, the family was able to start the process of learning to not quit on each other and to begin the healing process.
I recently was hospitalized for a week and I was so ready to get out of the hospital. I wanted the all the numerous diagnostic testing to end so that I could go home. After I was released here come more rounds of testing and more testing. I was ready to throw in the towel and just quit already! Then I was reminded not to quit because my life is a testimony and it could help someone else. So the next time you think about quitting, DON’T QUIT and remember that you story needs to be heard. You are the bright and shining star that someone else needs to see and hear!
In Healing,
Cherie
