Gratitude
As I sit and reflect on this Thanksgiving I am reminded of what I am thankful and grateful for:
- I am thankful for the journey I am now on. With out this journey, I would not be in the head space I am in today. I am a constant lifelong learner and I am finishing strong this year.
- I am grateful for life’s experiences. I know this sounds crazy , but I have learned in this journey we call life, that good and bad help to shape who we are and how we get through it. I have had a challenging year, but it has taught me lessons that I will never forget.
- Being able to give pause when I need to. Sometimes I am a bundle of energy and have so much I want to do that sometimes I even get lost in my own adventures. I am grateful that I can just stop to reevaluate.
- The Tribe that I belong to. I belong to a wonderful group that empowers women to take the reins in life in order to press on. This group has changed my life and challenged me to be a better person. This group literally given me life, even when I did not know I was losing hope and not healing.
- Awesome Coffee and Tea. I am an avid coffee lover and I have begun to drink tea just the same. In those nights where I needed to just be; I found comfort in the hot steamy cup of coffee(tea) which transported me to a new place in my healing.
- My daughter and Lovebug. This little person brought into my life so many lessons; lessons I did not know that I needed to learn and lessons of great value.
- Quiet time. The value of quiet time has been good and bad at times. It has mostly been good because it allowed me to think through what was challenging me at the time and to rediscover life.
- Family, Friends, Co-workers and Church members. These people have been my rock and I would be remiss if I did not say, “Thank you! I love and appreciate you”
- Breaking bread. Having a meal with someone is an intimate experience that should not be taken for granted. The meal and conversation can do so much for a persons self-esteem and provide positive vibes to them.
- You. I am grateful and thankful for you! If you are reading this blog post now, I think you are such an awesome person and thank you for weathering the storm with me.
What are you thankful and grateful for?
Blessings,
Cherie
